Batman is a beast

Just another long awaited update, not too long ago I purchased Batman Arkham Asylum for PC on a whim. I immediately felt guilt from making such a rash decision, but it turned out to be an amazing game. The story is one of the best I've seen in a game, also the cast of characters certainly is not to disappoint (Joker, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Bane, Killer Croc, Scarecrow, Victor Zzasss (forget how to spell it), the Riddler(through challenges), plus other minions). The environment was amazingly detailed, I love the dark atmosphere that the game creates. The most crazy part of the game is the combat, hands down one of the most fluid combat configurations I've played in a game. The combos you can rack up can make you feel invulnerable, but I like the reality of the game where guns do considerable damage, so the direct option is most likely not the best one. Then you do what Batman does best, take them out with stealth.
On a final note, the extra challenges are somewhat difficult depending on the level and the type of challenge, I find the predator challenges a bit easier because you can take you time to get the hang of the level set up and refine your strategy the more times you play it. I'm considering to replay it in hard mode, but atm its just a thought.
In short I definitely recommend this game: amazing combat, engaging story, great cast, and of course Batman himself. :D
Other than that I'm debating between a new GPU (cost $$$), Civilization 5($$$), Portal 2($$$), or nothing (lol, cost = my happiness).
All are larger investiments so I'm a bit wishy-washy on deciding, I am greatly anticipating some of the upcoming releases such as Portal 2 and the Old Republic, but I try not to spend too much on games (so tempting...) and I'm not too keen on subscription fees so I might wait for the next Batman game set to come out later this year to cure my sorrows. XD

Over and out till next time!
